About Us

Lifelike Dolls is North America's Premiere Reborning and Sculpting Magazine. Developed by reborn artists Sheri McDonald and Cheryl Bage, each issue focuses on realism in doll art and is designed to appeal to artists and collectors alike.

With a variety of articles, tutorials and editorials in every issue, there is sure to be something of interest to all of our readers. Each issue will feature an established artist, an up and coming artist and a collector, and there will be unique and interesting lead stories in every issue. Readers are invited to submit themselves or others to be featured in these esteemed categories.

This is a print magazine that is issued bi-monthly. The magazine can be purchased individually or as a six issue subscription. We also have downloadable digital magazines available for individual purchase or as a subscription.

Meet Sheri McDonald...I am a married mother of four with nearly twenty years of experience working with people with disabilities. My experience in the not-for-profit sector includes business management and administration, as well as front line work. I saw my first reborn doll several years ago on ebay. I immediately fell in love and admired them regularly. I began researching how they were made but never thought I would get the chance to learn the art until a local craft store started teaching reborn classes. I was unable to attend a class, but my close friend Cheryl took a class and eventually became an instructor herself. She shared her skills with me, and together we decided to create Lifelike Dolls as a new resource for doll lovers everywhere. I currently teach advanced and ethnic reborning classes.

Meet Cheryl Bage… I am a mom of three wonderful children. I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada with my son and 2 daughters. I have spent most of the last 20 years in computer related work, from teaching at a technical training center to 7 years in digital imaging for a large photography business. I have enjoyed creating since I was a young child. Taught by my grandmothers and my mother, I learned to sew, knit and crochet. I was introduced to the artistic world of Reborn Dolls by my best friend (Sheri) and their beauty and realism have captivated me. Like many, I began by researching to find as much information as I could on how to create these works of art. After taking a beginner’s class on Reborning, I set out to learn all I could. I am proud to create these beautiful collector dolls.

With the demand for an outlet for reborn artist, sculptors, and doll lovers to come together, Sheri and I have combined our knowledge and skill to bring you a resource to share your passions, Lifelike Dolls.
