All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Payment can be made through paypal, Mastercard, Visa or American Express.

Payment for advertising is due before the submission deadlines. Discounts on multiple ad purchases apply with full pre-payment only.

Canadian customers are required to pay GST, and customers from Ontario must also pay PST.

 

Shipping

 

Free postage on Canadian and US subscriptions.

International Subscriptions are $18 CAD for shipping.

Shipping is subsidized for our customers and can not be subsidized further.

 

Magazines are due to customers by the first of month that the issue represents. For example, a July/August issue will arrive to customers by July 1st. Due to the variety of postal locations and methods used for our mass mailings, customers will not receive their magazines at the same time. Please do not contact LLD regarding a missing magazine if it is prior to the first of the month for that issue.

 

 

Back orders and in stock orders are shipped every Friday. Occasionally, shipping is delayed due to holidays, postal issues or other extenuating circumstances. Canada Post does not operate on Saturdays, so late orders will be sent the following Monday.

 

Subscriptions

 

Print subscriptions purchased will begin with the next issue due to be released. Issues generally mail 3-4 weeks prior to their starting date, so an order placed on September 10th would begin with the Jan/Feb issue because the Oct/Nov issue will have mailed already. Customers are welcome to purchase back issues, but we do not backdate subscriptions.

 

Digital subscriptions will begin with the issue that will be or has been released closest to the purchase date. For example, an order placed on September 10th would begin with the Oct/Nov issue, and an order placed on Nov. 2nd would begin with the Oct/Nov issue. Customers may request to start their digital subscriptions with a future issue, but they can not be backdated further than one issue. Digital subscriptions are sent in PDF format and customers will need the most recent version of Adobe Reader to view them. Customers can print them for their own personal use. These issues are copyrighted and can not be shared or distributed.

 

Digital issues are sent within 24 hours of receiving payment. If a valid email is not provided, the download can not be sent.

 

 

Written Submissions

 

Lifelike Dolls welcomes written submissions from our readers. Submissions remain the property of the author, but LLD is awarded exclusive rights of submissions for a period of six months after it appears in an issue of the magazine, and shared rights thereafter. If an author chooses to use the piece elsewhere prior to it being used in LLD, we ask that you notify us so that we can make an informed decision on whether or not to use the piece in LLD. Should we choose your submission to be used in one of our issues, you will be contacted by us. In exchange for your submission, you will be awarded a free issue of Lifelike Dolls (the issue in which your article appears) and your name and business name (if applicable) will appear with the article. Advertising, subscriptions or other barters may be made in some cases.

Lifelike Dolls reserves the right to edit all written submissions. Lifelike Dolls may use submissions in the magazine, on the website and/or in promotional materials.

 

Photo Submissions

 

Photos submitted to Lifelike Dolls are provided with the understanding that Lifelike Dolls may use these pictures in the magazine, on the website and/or in any promotional materials.

Photos used in the gallery pictures do not require notification to the owner and will not be labelled with the artist or nursery name if the artist has not provided this information. There is no reimbursement for the use of gallery pictures.

Photo submissions to Lifelike Dolls must be the property of the person submitting the photo, or there must be written permission from the owner. 

Lifelike Dolls reserves the right to edit photographs.

 

Featured Artist

 

Each issue will feature an exceptional artist in the doll community. This artist will be chosen by the editors based on a number of criteria including (but not limited to):

• experience

• skill level

• unique talents

• diverse abilities

The featured artist will have a photograph on the front cover of the issue, and an article and photographs within the issue. The artist will have the opportunity to showcase his/her work, business contacts, websites, etc. and will receive a free copy of the issue he/she is featured in.

Featured Artists and submissions to the magazine are not accepted or denied based on group affiliations, advertising purchases, magazine promotion and/or  other business or personal associations.

 

Artists may request a PDF copy of their articles to use for promotional purposes only.

 

Advertising

 

Advertising spots are not secured until payment in full is received.

Lifelike Dolls can design your advertisement for you. Requests for ad creation must be made at least 10 days prior to the submission deadline.

 

 

 

 

 

Ad Specifications

 

 

Bleed is 0.125”.

Margin allowance is 0.25”

All images must be submitted in high resolution

CMYK at a minimum of 300dpi and saved as JPG,

TIFF or PDF files.

We are not responsible for mistakes in ads submitted and/or approved by the advertiser.

 

 

 

Print ads must be saved as a JPG, TIFF, or PDF file, CMYK, 300 dpi; web ads must be 72 dpi, RGB JPG files.

Ad proofs are always provided for approval when LLD has created the ad. Proofs can be provided to clients who created their own ads, at their request.

 

Lost/Damaged Magazines

 

If you have not received your issue by the first of the first month (eg. May 1st of the May/June issue), contact Lifelike Dolls and we will make every effort to ensure you receive your issue.

Magazines damaged by the recipient or the postal service are not the responsibility of Lifelike Dolls.
